ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Bathmawathy is an Award Winning Self-taught Wildlife artist based in Coimbatore, India. During the Covid outbreak, she found her passion for art and specialises in oil paint, acrylic paint, resin, pastels, charcoal and gold leaf. Bathmawathy creates art to raise awareness about the importance of preserving wildlife and their habitats, capturing the emotion of each creature through their eyes. She is a member of the Association of Animal Artists, UK and has won numerous awards for her artwork, including 4th place in the American Art Awards, Bronze award in the Camelback gallery ‘Into the Wild’ competition and the Special Recognition award in the Light Space Time ‘11th Nature’ Art competition, among others. Bathmawathy has also been featured in the Top 100 artist worldwide in the Hashtag Kalakar Art Competition and among the Top 50 renowned artists in the Magzoid Art Magazine, Dubai. Bathmawathy believes that animals are often neglected and hunted down for their parts or lose their homes due to human interference and negligence. Her work is filled with earthy colors and masterfully detailed wildlife honed with a deep respect for nature and wildlife conservation. She is a passionate ambassador for the protection and advocacy of our animal life and well-being, using her art to bring awareness and positive change to the environment. Her compelling artworks, often inspired by her deep connection to nature, shed light on the rapidly diminishing wildlife around us. Through her pieces, she seeks to bring us closer to the beauty of our natural world and its inhabitants, while expressing the need to cherish and preserve these miraculous species for generations to come
